The Health and Care Act 2022 introduced a statutory requirement that regulated service providers must ensure their staff receive learning disability and autism training appropriate to their role. The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training is the standardised training developed for this purpose and is the government’s recommended training for health and social care staff.

Once you have completed the eLearning (Part 1 of the training), you must attend Part 2 of The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training which is now open for bookings. This is a one-hour online interactive session co-delivered by a person with a learning disability, an autistic person, and a facilitator.

Please click on the date that you wish to attend and that will take you to registration page for the webinar.

You will receive your certificates within 24 – 72 hours of attending the webinar via email. To receive your certificate you must:

  • Register directly through this booking page (please do not share your webinar link – anyone accessing through a webinar link that has been shared via a colleague will not receive a certificate)
  • Attend the full 1-hour session.

If you are unable to attend your booking, please cancel so that your space can be reallocated.

If you have any technical issues with your booking, please contact pmoteam.ommt@selondonics.nhs.uk who will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
