Launching the Creative Health in Bromley Network

16 May 2025
Bromley

Partners from Bromley and south east London met on 28 April to launch the Creative Health in Bromley Network.  The network has been formed from a Culture and Public Health collaboration at Bromley Council and follows the south east London conference to tackle health inequalities through creativity, held at the Southbank Centre in February 2025. The conference covered discussions on the power of cross-sector collaboration, how creativity can be embedded into the health system and how communities can use it to improve their mental health and overall wellbeing.

Following the momentum of the conference, partners have come together to launch the Creative Health in Bromley Network as a platform to enable collaboration and promote ideas. The objectives of the network are:

  • To create a borough wide Creative Health programme.
  • To engage key borough partners to enhance and promote Bromley’s Creative Health offer using the ‘Creative Health in Bromley’ branding.
  • To develop a working group to develop the ‘Creative Health in Bromley’ programme including exploring funding opportunities.
  • To work towards becoming a ‘Creative Health Borough’.

After an introduction from Charlotte Ryan, Events and Engagement Officer from the Culture team at Bromley Council, the attendees received an overview on Creative Health from Flora Faith-Kelly, Creative Health Lead at NHS SEL Integrated Care Board, and Amalia Restrepo from London Arts and Health.

The event showcased some local partners and activities:

Following the talks all attendees had the opportunity to introduce their organisation and activities and spend time networking and exploring opportunities for collaboration.

Charlotte Ryan, Creative Health in Bromley Lead, said ‘It was great to have everybody in the room with so much energy and enthusiasm. We talked about the network next steps and how we can work together and collaborate. We are looking forward to finding and creating opportunities for the future of ‘Creative Health in Bromley’.
