Department of Health and Social Care Visit to the Waldron Health Centre

01 May 2025

The Waldron Health Centre was pleased to welcome visitors from the Department of Health and Social Care on 30 April 2025, offering an opportunity to showcase the important work being delivered in the heart of Lewisham.

Colleagues across services came together to ensure the centre was looking its best and provided a warm and informative welcome. The visit was a chance to highlight the strength of local partnerships across health and care as well as the commitment of teams working on the front line to support residents in the community.

Following the visit, we received very positive feedback from the Department, who praised the professionalism and energy of all those involved. A special thank you goes to everyone who helped make the visit such a success – from those who prepared the site to the staff who took time to share their work and experiences on the day

Fiona Kirkman, System Development Lead said: “We were delighted to welcome colleagues from the Department of Health and Social Care to the Waldron Health Centre. The visit was a valuable opportunity to highlight the brilliant work that has been happening to improve the site. The Waldron, and the provision of the new community space there, is a great example of how neighbourhood working and collaboration supports the health and wellbeing of our local communities.”
