Image of a Lewisham GP sat at a deskWe are working to support Lewisham residents to access the right care at the right time, and our practice teams have been trained to help you reach the right service.

Whether you pop in, call or make a request online, they’ll ask you to share a brief overview of your query so they can understand how to best direct you. They may suggest booking an appointment with a Dr, another member of the practice team or direct you towards your local Pharmacy team.

You may be offered a face-to-face, phone, or video appointment, depending on the type of query, availability of clinicians and which will suit you best. Appointments are now offered based on clinical need, rather than on a first-come-first-served basis.

We’re still able to offer same day appointments for urgent requests, with most appointments for routine requirements being offered within two weeks.

GP appointments that fit around you

We're here for you evenings and Saturdays. Early morning, evening and Saturday appointments are available, you can book these for regular consultations, vaccinations, health checks and screenings.

We are making it easier for you to get an appointment. In addition to normal GP opening hours (8am to 6.30pm), Lewisham GP surgeries also offer early morning, evening and Saturday appointments in partnership with their neighbouring practices. Ask your practice for more information.
