Bromley Healthcare’s Bromley Integrated Therapies team has been nominated for the Greener NHS Award categories at the Chief Allied Health Professions Officer’s (CAHPO) Awards 2025.
The nomination celebrates Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) who are improving patient outcomes while reducing the environmental impacts of healthcare making it more sustainable. The Bromley Healthcare’s Integrated Therapies team, which brings together urgent therapies, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, has been recognised for its innovative virtual model of care which reduces carbon emissions, cuts travel and makes services more accessible to local people.
Robyn Ridgeway, Integrated Therapies service lead at Bromley Healthcare, said: “I’m incredibly proud of the team for this nomination. Developing a model that improves patient care while also reducing our impact on the environment shows what’s possible when we think differently about how we deliver services. This recognition highlights the hard work of everyone involved.”
This work reflects the ambitions set out in the NHS Long Term Plan – shifting more care from hospital to community settings, embedding digital tools in daily practice and focusing on prevention to help people stay well for longer.
