Local inhaler recycling scheme wins national sustainability award
We are proud to announce our inhaler recycling scheme has won the PrescQIPP award for Enhanced Productivity, Sustainability and Value for Money. It also received the PrescQIPP Silver award for 2025. This national recognition shows how partnership working across our Integrated Care System (ICS) is helping improve care and protect the environment.

This national recognition highlights our commitment to improving patient care while championing environmental sustainability. The scheme was commended for establishing an accessible pathway for local residents to safely and responsibly dispose of used inhalers. This helps to recover valuable materials, repurpose leftover propellants and reduce waste.
