Local residents came together last week at the Penge Health and Wellbeing Event, held at the Bromley Adult Education Centre on Thursday 31 October, to learn more about local health services, get free checks, and access advice to support their wellbeing.

The event, organised by Bromley Council’s Public Health team and One Bromley health and care partners, brought a wide range of local services under one roof, helping people find the right care and support close to home.

Visitors were able to get free blood pressure checks, learn about vaccinations and screening and receive advice on self-care, digital skills and accessing healthcare. For those eligible, walk-in flu and COVID-19 vaccinations were also available on the day.

Families enjoyed a welcoming community atmosphere, with free refreshments and face painting for children, while adults took the opportunity to ask questions and gather information about keeping well this winter.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to all our partners and volunteers who helped make the day such a success.
