Annabel Appleby
Joint Acting Director of Planning
Since joining the NHS in 2016, Annabel has working in a number of system leadership and commissioning focussed roles. Annabel has worked in south east London since 2019 and was appointed Acting Director of Planning at South East London Integrated Care Board in March 2026. Previous to this, Annabel was Director of Acute and Specialised Care at the ICB and led on the commissioning of acute and specialised services across the patch.
Annabel started her career as a management consultant and has significant experience of large scale public sector transformation programmes, with a particular focus across the health system and local authority organisations.
Annabel shares the Acting Director of Planning role with Rupinder Dev, who is currently on maternity leave.
