Residents joined a free drop‑in NHS App support event at the Bromley Health and Wellbeing Centre on Tuesday 9th June 2026, where they received practical help and advice on using digital NHS services.

The event ran from 10:30am to 2:30pm and gave people the chance to speak directly with the friendly team, who supported attendees to download and set up the NHS App, view their health records, order repeat prescriptions and manage appointments. Many residents said the one‑to‑one support helped them feel more confident using the app. The event was part of Carers Week and highlighted the role of carers and how they can use the NHS app. It was also an opportunity to promote the new look of the NHS App and digital inclusion, supporting residents with different abilities.

Alongside the NHS App support, visitors were able to speak with One Bromley about local health and wellbeing services and share feedback or ask questions with Healthwatch, Bromley Well and Bromley Mencap.

The informal, drop‑in format meant people could attend at a time that suited them and ask questions at their own pace. The event highlighted how digital tools, when combined with personal support, can help residents manage their health more easily and stay connected to local services.

Amarachi McKeown, the Digital Change Manager in Bromley said “it was really encouraging to see such strong engagement from residents across Bromley. The personalised support helped build confidence straight away. I’m especially proud that we worked closely with local communities, voluntary sector partners and One Bromley Community Health Champions to make sure this event was inclusive and accessible, so everyone can benefit from digital health services.”

Bromley residents also fed back that the event had “lots of information available – clear friendly presentation, good advice and leaflets – and people from different organisations to support”. Attendees shared “support was extremely helpful and patient, it resolved my problem” and “could have these sessions more regularly if people encounter problems/can sign post friends and family to this service

The event also highlighted recent improvements to the NHS App, including a more user‑friendly design and simpler navigation, making it easier for people to find the information and services they need.
