Bromley residents took the opportunity to check their blood pressure during Know Your Numbers Week (8–14 September 2025), a national campaign raising awareness of the importance of monitoring blood pressure.

Led locally by Bromley’s Public Health team, the week saw walk-in “pressure stations” set up in Mottingham and Penge. Residents were able to drop in for a free blood pressure and pulse check, while also receiving advice on keeping their numbers in a healthy range.

These quick and simple checks not only offered reassurance but also helped residents take proactive steps towards reducing their risk of serious conditions such as heart disease, stroke and kidney disease.

In collaboration with ICB colleagues, staff based at the Bromley Civic Centre had an opportunity to have their blood pressures checked in the breakout area with access to other providers.

If you missed the campaign week, it’s not too late to check your blood pressure. Free checks are available all year round at the One Bromley Wellbeing Hub in the Glades Shopping Centre – opposite M&S (open Google Maps here), Tuesday to Saturday, 10:30am–6pm.
