On Thursday 16th October 2025, Bromley residents visited the One Bromley Wellbeing Hub in The Glades to learn more about the NHS App and how it can make managing their health easier.

The NHS App Awareness Day offered free, walk-in support from local healthcare professionals who helped visitors download the app, create accounts and explore the many helpful things you can do on the app – from booking GP appointments and ordering repeat prescriptions to viewing test results and accessing trusted health advice.

Throughout the day, residents of all ages dropped in for one-to-one guidance, with many saying they were surprised by how much the app could do. The event was run by One Bromley partners, who are working together to improve digital access to health services and support people to confidently use online NHS tools.

Amarachi McKeown, the Digital Change Manager in Bromley said the event was “was a vibrant and well-attended event that brought together healthcare teams and local residents to promote the NHS App. With strong engagement, positive energy, and solution-focused conversations, the day highlighted the community’s enthusiasm for digital health. Attendees shared constructive feedback and expressed interest in future campaigns, reinforcing the importance of accessible digital tools in improving patient experience.”

Bromley residents also fed back that the event “it was good, perfect, it went well, needed for those of us who have issues with the NHS App, fantastic, really found it useful and have learnt a few things about the App, enjoyed the 121 support with someone on hand to look into my logging in problems, hope it will be back sometime, staff were really friendly.”

Patricia, a Bromley resident who also attended the session on the day and said “It was great to meet the team. I had the app and knew how to do some things, but the team showed me other options, and I will be using these from now on. I will be encouraging and supporting others to have the NHS App.”

The NHS App is completely free and offers a secure, convenient way to manage your health without needing to call or visit your GP practice.

If you missed the event, you can still pop into the One Bromley Wellbeing Hub (opposite M&S on the upper level of The Glades), for help with downloading and using the NHS App. The Hub is open Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30am – 5:30pm.
