Bromley hosted its first ever Spark Session at the start of February, bringing together people working across creative health for an afternoon of connection, collaboration and shared learning. The new Creative Health Collective series has been set up to spark ideas and build stronger relationships across the sector, giving people a space to explore challenges, share what’s working and think together about the future of creative health in Bromley.
The two-hour session introduced attendees to the Spark Session format, which mixes creative activities with open conversations and peer learning. Attendees took part in small group discussions, creative exercises and group reflections, helping to create an open, welcoming atmosphere from the start.
The first session focused on understanding Bromley’s creative health landscape. Together, attendees talked about common barriers and explored ideas for how creative approaches can continue supporting local communities. It was also a chance to learn more about the creative health offer across Bromley and start mapping out where there are opportunities to link up more closely.
Mercedes Yearley, CEO and Founder of Quest Soul Theatre CIC, who led the session, said: “It was genuinely such a lovely afternoon, with generous conversations, bright thinking, and a real sense of shared purpose. I’m incredibly proud of the creative and community energy in Bromley. The focus of our next Spark Session will be using social media more confidently and effectively to support creative, community, and wellbeing work.”
The next Creative Health Collective session will take place on Friday 20 March 2026, 1–3pm at Community House in Bromley. This session will look at how to use social media more confidently and effectively to support creative, community and wellbeing work. Anyone working in or connected to creative health in Bromley is welcome to join.
