Local residents came together at the Hawthorn Centre in Penge on Wednesday 22nd January 2026 for the Jobs Plus Community Wellness Day – an event designed to support people in setting positive health goals for the year ahead.
The event brought together a range of healthcare professionals and organisations offering advice, checks and practical support. Attendees were able to access services including blood pressure checks, smoking cessation advice, fitness guidance, information on sexual health and information on Flu and COVID vaccinations.
Partners included Penge Primary Care Network, MyTime Active, Bromley Public Health Team, Bromley Well, Community Links Bromley, One Bromley, Sexual Health Bromley, SmokeFree Bromley and Clarion Futures’ Active Inclusion Team, all working together to provide expert advice and signpost residents to ongoing support.
Event organiser Nathaniel Beckett from Clarion Futures said “It was great to see so many organisations working together to offer health, wellbeing, physical activity and employment support in one accessible space. The positive engagement from residents and the quality of conversations on the day really reflected the value of partnership working and community-led support.”
The day was a fantastic example of how collaboration can help people make positive changes.
