A successful Digital Horizons event took place on Tuesday 16 July at Anerley Town Hall, welcoming over 60 residents to explore how to get the most from getting online.

Penge Primary Care Network (PCN) recently hosted the Digital Horizons event—a vibrant community initiative in collaboration with ClearCommunityWeb aimed at increasing awareness and confidence in using digital health tools like the NHS App. The event aimed to support digital transformation in primary care by providing practical guidance and fostering engagement across healthcare providers and patients. With over 60 participants from across member GP practices and beyond, the event delivered engaging talks, hands-on support, and valuable resources to promote healthier, more connected lives.

“Learned about the NHS App and different ways the scanner works — this knowledge helps me stay informed and empowered.” — Event Attendee

Following the success of a similar event in Orpington earlier this year, the Anerley edition of Digital Horizons offered:

  • Top tips to stay safe online
  • Information on scam awareness
  • Accessing courses and digital learning
  • Support with online services and using the NHS App
  • Community information stalls from local groups and services
  • One-to-one support with smartphones, tablets and laptops

By teaming up with the NHS and local community groups, ClearCommunityWeb continues to support people who are digitally excluded – whether through lack of access, confidence or experience – and help them take the next steps in using digital tools to manage their health and stay connected.
