Helen Hayes MP recently visited 306 Medical Centre, a GP practice in Southwark, following an invitation from the practice’s Patient Participation Group (PPG), a group of patients who work with the surgery to share feedback and help shape services.
During the visit, she met with patients and staff to hear about their experiences of care and the services provided locally.
Patients spoke positively about access to appointments, continuity of care and the supportive approach of staff. The discussion highlighted the practice’s strong focus on personalised care, its role in supporting the local community and its contribution to delivering high-quality primary care in south east London.
The visit also highlighted the importance of offering a range of ways for people to access services, ensuring that care remains inclusive and responsive to different needs.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the work of primary care teams in Southwark and the impact of listening to patient feedback to continuously improve services.
