Issues affecting websites worldwide, 22 October 2026
A security issue has been uncovered in a programming language (called PHP) that is used by the majority of websites worldwide. This has meant that some websites have been taken offline while a fix is applied. We are working with our suppliers, NHS providers, primary care and the NHS nationally, to understand what impact this issue is having, and we will update our website with more information in due course.
