South East London ICB and South West London ICB are pleased to confirm two appointments to their shared executive team.
The appointments follow the clustering arrangements agreed by both ICB Boards, which bring together some executive leadership roles across the two organisations as they strengthen their role as strategic commissioners.
Elaine Clancy has been appointed as Chief Nurse and Quality Officer across both South East London and South West London ICBs.
Elaine has more than 30 years’ experience in the NHS and is currently Chief Nurse for NHS South West London Integrated Care Board. She has also been seconded as Group Chief Nurse at St George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals Group (gesh) since September 2025. A trained adult, paediatric and A&E nurse, Elaine has worked on the frontline including at St George’s hospital – as well as held a range of senior roles at hospitals and community providers in London.
Elaine Clancy said:
“I feel very privileged to have been offered this role across both South East and South West London, and I’m excited about what we can achieve together for the population of south London. I have been delighted to work at gesh, and while I will miss the organisation, I’m also very much looking forward to returning to the ICB and working with nursing, midwifery, and allied health professional colleagues across both systems to continue improving care for patients and communities.”
Ranjeet Kaile has been confirmed as Director of Communications and Engagement. This is a shared role across both ICBs and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
Ranjeet has over 25 years of communication and engagement experience working in the NHS, local, and central government, including ten-years at board level. Ranjeet has been the executive director of communications, public affairs and stakeholder engagement at Slam since 2019, and prior to this he was executive director of communications at South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust for six years.
Ranjeet Kaile said:
“I am honoured to take on this role and to continue working closely with partners across south east and south west London. Our health and care system is at its strongest when it is shaped by the people and communities we serve. By deepening our collaboration and listening carefully to what matters most to local residents, we can ensure their experiences, priorities and voices guide the way we improve services and deliver care across south London.”
Andrew Bland, Chief Executive of NHS South East London and NHS South West London ICBs, said:
“These appointments are an important step in building our shared executive team across both organisations. Elaine and Ranjeet bring a wealth of experience and leadership, and I am very pleased they will be helping to lead this next phase of our work across south London.”
Ranjeet starts in his role effective immediately and the start date for Elaine will be confirmed in due course. Recruitment to the remaining roles in the shared executive team is continuing.
