The RSV vaccination helps protect against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections. RSV is a common illness that can make babies and older adults seriously ill.

If you’re pregnant you should be offered the RSV vaccine around the time of your 28-week antenatal scan. You can also speak with your maternity service, GP surgery and some participating pharmacies to arrange a vaccination appointment.
If you’re aged 75 to 79 (or turned 80 after 1 September 2024) you can contact your GP surgery or a participating pharmacy to book your RSV vaccination.
