The south east London health system is currently very busy and emergency departments have long waits.

Please only attend emergency departments if advised by a GP, 111, or 999. If your condition is not urgent, visit your pharmacist, call 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk

Arrangements will not change for people with life-threatening illnesses or injuries who should continue to dial 999. Anyone who arrives at Emergency Departments will still receive medical care as appropriate, with those needing emergency treatment prioritised.

This leaflet will tell you what you can do when you have a minor illness or feel unwell and where you can get quick and easy advice without needing to go to the GP surgery.

You can also speak to your local pharmacist about minor illnesses or conditions.
