Statement on the national NHS England Federated Data Platform (FDP)
In south east London we recognise the importance of how the NHS uses data and what it means to patients and the public. We also understand and support the principles of clarity and reassurance about security, confidentiality, transparency, and ethics.
We are aware of the national NHS England Federated Data Platform (FDP) programme that has been commissioned with the company Palantir. The ambition for the Federated Data Platform has been developed and is being led at a national level by NHS England, with the intention of supporting improved operational insight, patient flow and service planning across the NHS: NHS England » NHS Federated Data Platform.
NHS South East London ICB continues to engage with NHS England to understand the scope and implications of this programme. To ensure that communication remains accurate and consistent, the ICB will not be responding to individual enquiries regarding the Federated Data Platform.
