Our mission is to achieve:

  • Better health for everyone
  • Better care for all patients
  • Efficient use of NHS resources

Working with a range of partners, we lead delivery of the planned care programme as part of the South East London Integrated Care System.

This work is focused on further driving down the waiting lists for planned day case and inpatient surgery that built up during the COVID-19 pandemic, and speeding up the time for people to be treated.

It also centres on improving services and the patient experience for those people who do not need to be admitted to hospital, including outpatients.

Our APC brings together the work of all three Trusts to deliver these ambitious plans. In doing so, we play an instrumental role in ensuring:

  • Equitable access to services for all patients. It should not matter where you live or which hospital you are referred to
  • All services are safe, high quality, and sustainable
  • Best use of our resources and taking advantage of economies of scale
  • Risks are managed and benefits shared across South East London
