Christmas and New Year Bank Holiday days – how to get the help you need

25-26 December 2025 and 1 January 2026

08 Dec 2025
NHS South East London

As the Christmas period (25-26 December 2025) and New Year’s day (1 January 2026) approach, be sure to order your repeat prescriptions early and have enough medicine for any existing health conditions. This will help you avoid any breaks in your treatment during the holiday.

Over the long weekends, some GP surgeries and pharmacies may be closed or open for shorter hours. This means it may take longer to access healthcare services.
