We need to make the most of the information collected and held across the health and care system, supplemented with information about the environment where people live. This is to ensure that we are able to provide actionable insights and intelligence that support direct and proactive care, service and system planning and improvements to research and innovation, which will help future delivery of services and treatments.
We work very closely with the care professionals and partners who deliver and plan services for the people of South East London, to ensure that the information, insights and tools we develop are what they need and support their decision making and service improvement.
Our targets
- Important information will be made available to health and care professionals to support their decision making and help deliver more proactive and efficient care to the people of South East London. This includes those delivering care, as well as those planning services across our integrated care system.
- To collaborate in the development of the London Health Data Strategy, which aims to deliver a single London Data and Information service, which will support more consistent care delivery and decision making across London, for the benefit of all Londoners. We have involved Londoners in the development of this strategy and information can be found here.
- We will make use of the information we have in order to innovate and identify new ways that services may be provided in future. This means harnessing new technologies, looking at new ways to diagnose and treat people and modelling service demand and capacity to look at areas of improvement.
