Across south east London, digital and data have proven to be the “glue” that holds together the many strands of work across our partnership. The Covid-19 pandemic demonstrated that technology projects can be delivered and adopted at a pace and scale that was previously unthinkable.

The digital strategy for our Integrated Care System is focussed on how we can collectively build on our achievements to deliver the greatest impact in terms of health and care outcomes for the communities we serve.

Our digital strategy:

  • Is focussed on ensuring technology can improve the way services are designed, delivered and managed in a joined-up way, with a focus on the individual and their experiences. The Digital First programme demonstrates how we can deliver access to our services for all patients.
  • Is also about supporting our health and care professionals to make the best decisions, providing access to the right information at the right time. The London Care Record is a great example of how ICS partners access and share information.
  • Enables the best use of data to help improve the safety and care being delivered to people and tackle health and care inequalities. For example, our Population Health Management programme is already delivering improvements to patient waiting times and vaccine uptake.
  • Supports a thriving digital health and care ecosystem, through research and innovation and the development of technical skills and capabilities.
  • Reinforces our position of a recognised international a leader in innovation and digital transformation.
