  • Clinical Effectiveness SE London (CESEL) have produced a Multiple Long-Term Condition (MLTC) Resource Pack. The pack brings together existing resources and emerging tools to support teams delivering multi-LTC care.  The pack is available in our Guides Section. (May 2026)
  • CESEL are seeking feedback, to help ensure the team provides the best possible support to staff and continues to address the issues that matter to staff and their patients.  If you’ve experienced support from CESEL in the last 12 months (i.e. used one of our resources, been present at a CESEL education session or support visit), please complete this short survey to help improve and shape future support (February 2026)
  • CESEL recently delivered a webinar to support staff with coding: Unlocking Better Outcomes: The Importance of LTC Coding (February 2026)
  • CESEL Diabetes Guide has been updated, including advice in diagnosing and monitoring diabetes for patients with haemoglobinopathies including sickle cell disease (January 2026).
  • QoF webinar delivered by CESEL – From Incentives to Impact, available here or via the SE London Workforce Training Hub (October 2025).
  • CESEL Asthma Guides for both adults and children/young people have been updated, in partnership with members of the SE London respiratory and medicines networks.  These are available in the CESEL Guides section.  An education event was delivered to support utilisation of the best-practice guides (September 2025).
  • SEL Lipid optimisation guidelines:  SEL Meds’ Optimisation Team recently launched new guidelines at a webinar, now available via SEL.NET, here.  Contact Medicines@selondonics.nhs.uk if you require help accessing the guide or webinar. (August 2025)
  • CESEL have produced a short newsletter (May 2025).
  • CESEL presented at an ICB webinar, setting out examples of innovation used to deliver support to staff across the local system. Recording is available here (May 2025).
  • CESEL’s annual report is now available.  Well done to practices for the improvements made in 2024-25 (May 2025)
  • CESEL supported local partners to develop a BP community tool.  A talking head (here) introduces and sign post those interested in working collaboratively across their communities, to test using the tool (March 2025).
  • Asthma learning from a recent near miss in SE London.  Please take the time to read this and share the learning with your team (March 2025).
  • CESEL designed CKD dashboard is available.  Staff can access here. If you are unable to access, please email the CESEL team (March 2025).
  • A revised Hypertension Guide, covering all 6 boroughs, is available in the Guide section (January 2025).
  • CESEL created a highlight data pack, to help practices see how they are getting on in areas CESEL can support and signpost staff to dashboards hosted by the ICB’s Business Intelligence Unit (BIU).  To help practices, an introduction support film has been recorded. The pack includes guidance designed to help practices find and utilise Ardens searches  (October 2024).
  • CESEL have produced a short summary document, designed to support GP Locums. This will be cascaded via CESEL visit packs and forthcoming updates (September 2024).
  • Synnovis Recovery and Long Term Conditions Webinar was delivered on 19 September, to help practices optimise long term condition management for patients.  Delivered by CESEL and Meds optimisation leads a recording is on SELNET, here (September 2024).
  • Synnovis – a pathology partnership between Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College Hospitals and SYNLAB – was the victim of a ransomware cyberattack, resulting in a major IT incident and a significant reduction in capacity to process samples.  CESEL contributed to system-wide efforts at managing the impact.  Updates and support information  can be accessed here (July 2024).
  • CESEL produced an impact report to highlight and demonstrate support scope and activity during 2023-24. The report can be accessed here. (June 2024).
